It was in a good location we could go around on foot and tram. Railway station was close and also the crown wasn't far as well

We checked into Mantra Southbank for 3 nights as my wife had an operation and we wanted somewhere close to the city so our 4 kids could be easily entertained and have views of the city at night. After being in our room for a few hours we felt very unsatisfied as we had a view which was blocked by the building next door and tv’s that were so outdated they didn’t even offer smart tv capabilities to stream Netflix or Disney or even offer Foxtel to keep our kids entertained. After paying over $1100 for 3 nights we felt extremely let down and even asked to leave to find accommodation that would suit what we had requested prior to booking. This is where the impeccable service of the duty manager Liam was the only reason our stay turned from disappointment into gratitude. Liam did not make us feel stupid once for asking for a refund or helping to switch hotels. We ended up staying at the Mantra Southbank after being upgraded to a bigger room with proper views as well as Liam supplying a HDMI cord so we could stream our laptop through the tv to entertain our children and he even gave our entire family of 6 a free breakfast on the last day of checkout. Liam is one of if not the best hotel receptionists I have ever dealt with. I have worked in the travel industry and my wife and I also run multiple businesses where we fully appreciate excellent customer service. I must say all of the staff were very friendly and supportive but Liam went the extra mile for us. I cannot thank him enough and I hope however reads this would consider giving this man a promotion because he truly deserves it! Thank you once again for saving our getaway and making our stay a joyous and memorable experience!

This hotel is in a great location. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 12th floor. The room was quite spacious. Could do with a good clean, there was an odd musty smell in the main bedroom. Beds are not too bad comfort wise. The shower was not great. There is very little room to stand, we are both quite tall and there is like a bulkhead over the shower space that makes it very cramped. Kitchen area was great and there was also a washing machine and dryer which was so handy. The pool area is really good. Our kids had a great time swimming and meeting other kids each afternoon. Staff were friendly. Overall a good stay.
